I stick to what I know
I wear Merrell mocs in the winter and Merrell with zipper in the summer.

Comfortable
I love all Merrell footwear. They suit my feet. These are the first slip on walking boots I’ve ever had. They fit snugly but comfortably round the ankle. They have what they describe as a dual density sole. This means it’s firmer and heavier than other Merrell boots I’ve owned. There is little bend or flexibility in the sole. But amazingly they remain comfortable and bouncy on my old achey feet. Also they give me an extra inch in height which is great and it means they allow my jeans to sit more smartly on them. I do agree with the view that Merrell footwear tends to run small because I vary between size 4 or 5 with shoes but I’m always a 5 with Merrell.

Fantastic shoes though I had misgivings at first
I get lower back and knee pain (hypermobile joints) and the correct shoes can make a huge difference to this. I now have 3 pairs of the Jungle moc--for the house, the garden, going out. However when I bought the first pair I thought at first it was a big mistake as I found them too painful to wear, tight over the top of my foot. After one wearing I put them aside in disgust but later decided to make the best of things by cutting the elastic on one side for a looser fit. This didn't look great but at least made them wearable--I wear them with ankle socks for comfort-- and I soon found they hugely relieved my back pain. The heel is just the right height for me and there is room for a heel lift under the removable insoles. I also love the way they roll my feet forward as I walk. I bought a second pair for going out and now I was used to wearing them I didn't need to cut the elastic. As they are suede I don't wear them outside in wet weather. Wiping them over with a damp cloth keeps them looking clean. They are wearing well, I walk long distances in them--back and knee pain sorted-- and I expect them to last a long time. Look smart with jeans.

Not good fit
Colour more greyish than green/brown on screen. Initially thought great but when walked in it for some distance it became uncomfortable - likely due to my wide feet thus not fitted as should.

Nice looking and comfortable. Comfortable immediately when I put it on straight from the box.
These were my second pair and just as comfortable as the first from the moment I first put them on.It is very helpful to be able to buy shoes which are as comfortable as trainers but which can be worn when trainers would not be appropriate. My only disappointment is that they do not make the brown leather ones in women's sizes. If they did I would buy those as well as black suede doesn't work so well in a more rural setting where hiking boots look rather over the top.

Still going strong 14months later
I have worn these every day as my only pair of shoes since I bought them May 2020... I work in retail so I need comfy black shoes for work.I got frustrated with sketchers shoes only lasting a few months at a time and just falling apart. Plus almost crippling foot and leg ache on my shifts.I felt like I was spending fortunes on trainers for work and it was driving me insane.Around 20 years ago I had a pair of Merrells that I remember had been incredibly comfy and long lasting but didn't think the design was still going until I stumbled across them again last year.. I bought them and they have been incredible.I would say they come up a little small I usually wear a size 7 and I think I would have been better getting a 7.5 as when I first got them they did rub a little at the back of my heel which has developed a little bump of hard skin there... I just needed to wear them in for a week or two and after that I had absolutely zero discomfort. So 14 months later there is some wear to the tread but still loads of life left ... The sole is still as comfy as ever. The only problem I have is the fabric protection and padding at the heel has worn away so I am debating getting them repaired as the strength and structure of the shoe is still going strong .. seems a waste to replace them ..
