Batteries Replacement Nook Handhelds/PDAs battery

I love my first-generation Nook. It does everything I want, and works perfectly well. I don't need to "upgrade" to something that has features I'll never use. So when the battery started to go, after several years of hard use, I went over to the bookstore to get a new one. Imagine my horror when I found they didn't carry them any more! It was strongly suggested that instead of simply replacing a $20 battery, I should buy a new $250 Nook Color, with the added "feature" that the batteries on that were inaccessible, and when you needed to change one, you needed to send it back so their techs could change it. Uh, no thanks. So I ordered two batteries from Amazon, one for use now and one for a backup. My Nook now is back to holding its charge like it was new, and I'm happy.

I got a Nook for free given to me by a friend. The battery was dead and I could not even get it to come on staying plugged in. Finally found this battery and it worked great. Even though reading on the Nook site they told me it would not work and I had to just buy a new device. Which was not going to happen. :)

I cannot get my Nook to boot up with this battery. Like another reviewer, I find that the rated voltage is lower than the original battery. This seller should not advertise it as a Nook replacement battery.Even tho I called Amazon for a refund several months after the refund period had expired, they still issued me a refund.Amazon good!!Seller not so good.

The original battery had a problem where it was causing streaks of permanent charge on the screen where the battery is. This replacement does not seem to have as much battery life but the bigger problem of permanent charge streaks is gone.

Despite what the store told me, I don't need a new nook. This is the battery that they said was no longer available. Guess what, it is! Thank you for saving my nook!!

Product did not fit my nook and won’t work. Now I’m stuck with a useless battery and a useless nook!!

The battery arrived on time. It was easy to install, if you are used to opening the Nook, which is tricky. The new battery so far seems to work better than the old one, which needed frequent charging and made the device freeze.

This replacement battery was purchased for an original Nook. It works great and came at a good price. It is nice having a spare battery to use while another one is charging.
