Zao - Mascara Aloe Vera 090 Black (bamboo) - 7 ml

Absolutely in love with this mascara! And the best thing is - I don't need any makeup removal, can just wash it off with water.

After every use the product dries around the edge of the screw top which means the next morning when I go to use it and unscrew the brush, chunks of dried mascara fall off onto either my bathroom wooden floor or my carpet bedroom floor, which is really hard to remove without leaving a stain.Also the idea behind the minimal waste is slightly misleading. Most mascaras come in a single plastic tube. This mascara comes in a single plastic tube with an outer bamboo case, once you've finished the mascara you bin the plastic and buy another one. Exactly like you would a normal mascara, so actually you're not saving on much plastic, IF ANY. What you are actually getting is just a nice reusable CASE for just a normal, slightly smaller plastic mascara tube!Other Zao products I really like and use often but this product is a big no from me.

I wouldn’t buy again and stopped using my current one. I was looking for enviromentally friendly alternatives to makeup. This mascara seems good at first but after an hour of wear it flakes off and you end up with mascara flakes on your face. I couldn’t return as id used it so was a waste of money as I didn’t use it anymore.

I really wanted this product to be good but it just wasn't for me. The mascara itself turned out to be really flakey and I constantly had to wipes specks away from under my eyes. The mascara wand is big and clumpy, not my personal favourite type. I primarily bought this mascara as a (slightly) more eco friendly option but for some reason it comes in its own tiny little canvas bag which was just irritating as it serves no purpose and went straight in the bin creating unnecessary waste and defeating the whole point of buying this brand. Won't buy again and will continue to look for a plastic free option.

If you enjoy waking up with black gunge in your eyes (even after washing off) then this is for you. It's not environmentally friendly in its packaging and I would not buy again.

This is the worst mascara I’ve ever used. Even the most minute amount of eye moisture will send black cruising down my face, which bizarrely will then be impossible to remove.

This product claims to be plastic free, but came in completely plastic packaging and the inner tube is also made from plastic. The mascara itself isnt very good, quite clumpy and smudges and runs very easily.
