Actual Touchscreen Capability: a diamond in the rough
I’ve bought a buttload of touch screen gloves on Amazon in past year or so, always searching for a pair that actually does what it’s supposed to do, very proficiently, in my proper size. I’m a petite-ish gal with (afaik) pretty average-sized hands, but every pair I’ve tried has been too ill-fitting, if not flat out too big, for me to get good, consistent touchscreen contact. I read a Wirecutter review of these gloves & thought they might just meet my needs. They were inexpensive enough that I felt fine buying/trying out, even though a whole slew of my picks up to that point had been total duds. So I kinda prepared for worst & was then pleasantly surprised to find THE BEST. They fit my on-the-small-side hands, are super comfy & breathable, plenty warm without over-heating, with great grip in all the right places. Most importantly, the touchscreen capabilities are above & beyond by far the best vs. any gloves I’ve ever tried. I find Wirecutter advice to be a bit of a crapshoot, at best, but they really hit it out of the park with this one. Highly recommend!

I am extremely pleased with the purchase of these gloves for two reasons
I have written reviews before and I have never been compensated in any way for writing a review. This review is no exception. I am extremely pleased with the purchase of these gloves for two reasons. First, I read a review of these gloves on the website TheWirecutter.com which is a site that publishes reviews of a myriad of different products based on lengthy tests by their own people. Their review of these gloves said that they were the best they had tested based on functionality, fit, construction, and warmth. I had never acted on one of their recommendations prior to this but for some reason I decided to take a chance and order these gloves. I had previously purchased the Head Digital Running Gloves which I was semi happy with so the new Glider Gloves would be a good comparison. That decision to order the gloves is the second reason why I am happy with my purchase. I am a person with hands that have short fingers so gloves are always a questionable fit for me. In addition I have traditionally cold hands that are difficult to keep warm so if a reviewer says that their tested gloves are exceptional with warmth I felt like I should try them. The gloves arrived in less than a week and I( immediately began the evaluation. The gloves are double-layered and the outer layer is knit which initially had me worried regarding warmth but my initial fears were immediately cast aside because these gloves are really warm......warmer than any glove that I have ever worn. The fit of the gloves is exceptional as well. There is no extra space in the fit of the palm portion of the glove or in the finger length or girth. They fit like they were made specifically for my hands. The extra benefit is that I can use the gloves with my smartphone or any other electronic device with a touchscreen. These gloves are superior and are exceptionally high value. In summary, I was not compensated for saying these things. I am happy because I found an independent reviewer that understands peoiples needs and writes honest reviews. And I am very happy because I found gloves that fit exceptionally well, that are unbelievably warm based on my experience with a wide range of different gloves, and that can be used with electronic devices. I encourage everyone who reads this reviewn to purchase these Glider Gloves and to become a regular reader of the TheWirecutter.com reviews. Dean Mitchell

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly
Before I start, I just want to say I'm pretty happy with the purchase, subject to some caveats, mainly size issues. The Good: 1. These gloves work as advertised. They are great for using on touch screens. I can use them on my phone and in my car which unfortunately uses touch panels for everything including the defrost and heater buttons. In some instances, I think the control is better than with my bare finger tips. I was even able to text with my iPhone 6 without difficulty. 2. They are thin enough to enable you to use them for things that require manual dexterity, like using my keys on the door, keying in the panel to open my garage, and plugging my phone into the lightning cable in the car. In the past, I'd have to take my gloves off to do any of these things. They conform to my fingers well (tend to run small, see below) so they feel less like winter gloves and more like driving gloves. 3. Seem to be reasonably warm in this thus-far mild Wisconsin Winter. 4. The fingers and palms are covered with a sticky grip substance which works well. No problem holding on to a slippery iPhone or gripping a smooth steering wheel while driving. This means you don't have worry about dropping your phone when you're wearing them. The Bad: 1. The sizes are too small. Even the chart, which you can download and print for hand comparison, is misleading. I mapped out between a medium and a large on their chart, but the large gloves were way too small. It felt more like I was trying to shove my hand into a child's glove. They say they are snug when you first get them and stretch with use, and this is true, but still the fingers were too short (about 2/3 the length of my fingers in the large size) and the wrist was completely uncovered. I could barely get it to cover my palm. I almost wonder if they had sent me a small instead, but I see this as pretty common on other reviews. Bottom line, plan to buy a size LARGER than you think you need. If you usually wear a Large, get an Extra Large. If you wear Extra Large, look elsewhere. 2. Make sure you buy from an Amazon Prime vendor with free, no-questions asked returns or you will have to pay shipping to return them, and then wait while the company reviews the condition of the product (I guess to determine if they can resell them) before deciding if they will refund your money. They say it will take up to 4 weeks for a refund, although mine was less. I bought my larger pair from a different vendor for this reason. The Ugly: No matter how careful you think you are with these gloves, then will immediately develop thread fiber pulls that look ugly, and look like they may lead to some unravelling. I noticed this right off the bat, and I'm just putting them in open coat pockets with out keys or other sharp objects.

I hate to give these gloves such a low rating but ...
I hate to give these gloves such a low rating but unfortunately the good far outweighed the bad when it came to using them. I'll post the Pros of the gloves first and then I'll add in the cons showing a timeline of when they occurred. Pros: 1. It's been a warm winter this year, roughly 10-15 degress on a cold morning and usually 20s the rest of the day. Through that weather, even with wind, these gloves have kept my hands warm. Not toasty, but warm. Which is more than enough. My hands do get chilly from prolonged usage of my phone if it's windy but that might not apply to everyone. 2. Despite being heavy winter gloves they still fit comfortably in my jacket pocket and are low enough profile to not be a hassle to contain. 3. Every inch of the glove is conductive, I can touch it any way I like and have it work. Cons: -Day One 1. Even when I bought the XL size of these gloves it wasn't enough. I don't have huge hands but big hands and I was barely able to fit my fingers inside. Each time I put them on I have to push down between my fingers to get it to fit properly. 2. There's already a snag pull on the right thumb. -After One Week 1. There are pulls appearing all along the seams of this glove. It looks like it's ready to fall apart after only a week and I only wear them or keep them in a jacket pocket but themselves. -After One Month 1. Starting to notice conductivity issues in my index finger, using my middle finger more often. 2. Shortly after switching to my middle finger noticing some lag in touches with that finger as well. -After Two and a Half Months 1. Lost all conductivity in the right hand, no longer usable unless I press my knuckles to the screen. The long and short of it is that they are basically just winter gloves now and useless for using my phone with. I can switch to my left hand and get conductivity but that does me little good as I'm right handed. I notice that there is a warranty on the gloves... FOR 90 DAYS! They know their product will fail obviously and that is why the warranty is so short. You must also have the original package according to their site. I'm within 90 days so I'm trying to get them replaced, will relay my experience with them and possibly modify my rating based upon that.

Worked well in the cold but smaller than I'd planned
The gloves were slightly tighter than I thought I needed. But. I used them on a cold day as outer gloves and one colder day as a liner and they worked well both days. My hands are extremely sensitive to cold and these helped a lot.

Decent gloves
These gloves do a great job with any touchscreen that I have tried. They are very snug in the fingers so they function very well with touch screens. I do not like that they have no rubberized grip material on the finger tips (only on the palm and proximal finger areas). This makes it difficult to grip things if you are only using your fingertips. For instance, I have trouble getting my credit card out of my wallet due to lack of grip. Warmth is OK. Not exceptionally warm but decent if you are just going to and from your car in the winter. Not good if they get wet. In my experience they tend to run a little small. I ordered a large and it was much too small for me. XL is a bit snug, but I think that is is the idea.

Super disappointed with these...Fit is terrible.
Super disappointed with these. Everyone is talking about how awesome these gloves are, but yet everyone is complaining about the size. These are GLOVES! Size is important!!! If they don't fit, you won't wear them; regardless of how well they function with a touch screen. Couple things: - These gloves do function well with touch screens (one star for doing what they are supposed to do). - They seem warm (another star) - They fit incredibly weird. I went a size up based on the other reviews, but they just don't fit correctly (no more stars) There are two parts to these gloves, a lining and an outer "shell." The liner fits snug. That's good for me, I like that, but the shell fits loosely. This causes weird bulging/bunching in the palm area. If I wanted a liner and a glove, I would purchase a liner and a glove. With a knit glove, I prefer all one piece. Movement between the liner and the shell is bothersome and inhibits dexterity. Lastly, the pinky is the almost the same length as the ring finger. I don't know if I'm the odd man out here, but my pinky and ring fingers are not even remotely the same length. Makes me fee like I'm a kid wearing my dad's oversized work gloves where my fingers can't touch the end. It's a good 3/4'' too long, but all the other fingers fit fine, so I can't go a size down. I suppose if my palms were a half inch+ wider and my pinky fingers were 3/4" longer, these glove would be fantastic, but alas that is not the case. I'll be forking over the 5 bucks to send them back.

Good price and good quality
Not too thick that my hands get sweaty, and works perfectly with my screen.
