Item did not match the description or the pictures associated with it on Amazon. Overall it was smaller in total coverage size and didn't seem to have that much gel in it for cooling. Opened the package but never used the product.

I hurt my shoulder a couple of weeks ago, so heat was the preferred mode of treatment. This shoulder pack seemed like it would be perfect. When I received it, it took me a minute to figure out how to wear it. It comes with instructions, but they didn't really describe how to wear it. There weren't any pictures on the box, so I went back to the Amazon ad, and there were ample pictures. It's pretty intuitive, but I wanted to be sure since I'm fairly petite, and the pack is quite large. That said, I wish the instructions had a picture, but no big deal. The instructions went into great detail about how to prepare the pack for heat and ice. I appreciated that because the second time I used it, I heated the pack a little too long, and I almost burned my arm. Please read the instructions and follow them...they are spot on.Now, how did it work? It was GREAT! It stayed hot for about 20-30 minutes, and it felt pretty comfortable on my arm. Again, I'm small. I think this is made for an average-sized man and not so much for a petite woman, but that's with most unisex items. Personally, I'm used to that, and I don't think it's worth the loss of a star. I haven't tried the ice pack, but based on how well the heat works, it is a great little device that hits all parts of the shoulder. I also like that it also covers the bicep and the two straps to hold everything in place. The straps work great, and the velcro is not crazy strong and sticky like some velcro. It drives me crazy when you feel like you have to rip the fabric to dislodge the velcro. UGH.I would definitely recommend this product. It is very well made, and it works great!

I had a total shoulder replacement and rotator cuff repairs. I bought this brand specifically for it's extra coverage appearance. In retrospect I should have checked exact measurements. Be careful! This is not the first time products from amazon appeared much differently from the picture

Works very well to help with a soar shoulder but the strap that goes around the arm needs to be longerI have average or below average size arms and I can just barely wrap the strap so it stays on my bicep
