Do it
First off, for the current price of barely more than an Andy, this is a no brainer. If you're even slightly considering getting a controller in this category, just do it and save yourself the headache of overthinking it. The good bits. Spoiler: there aren't any actually bad bits. This controller (the Wukong version) looks quite nice, feels good in the hand, and works great. It would be rather difficult to have any issue at all with the basic functionality. It is one of these new-fangled controllers with detachable cable, and the included cable is pretty beefy. Thicker than any of my other USB-C charging cables. All of the buttons are well placed, the sticks are amazing (remniscent of Xbox 360 controller), and the texture of the plastic keeps the controller from feeling slippery. The d-pad is quite alright having a feel perfectly in between mushy and clicky. Probably not going to want to play a fighting game with it, but it's perfect for those utility functions that the d-pad is often assigned in modern games. R4 and L4 are perfectly placed where they aren't too easy to hit accidentally, but also not too hard to hit intentionally. Vibration works out of the box in XInput with no effort from the user. Hall effect sticks and triggers are as accurate as you are. Ok, the "bad" parts. This controller is smaller than it looks. I don't have huge hands and my thumbs can easily overlap at the guide button without adjusting my grip. Not sure why that would be a problem, but whatever. The software has no use for this controller other than updating the firmware. R4/L4 can only be bound with the buttons on the controller itself. This controller presents itself to Windows 11 as a 360 controller, so there is no share button. DirectInput sees it as a 5 axis, 1 POV, 10 button controller, so no Guide button there. The extra buttons (square/bind, star/auto) cannot be set as buttons visible to software, and R4/L4 cannot be set to anything except pre-existing buttons or a combination thereof. If you were hoping to use R4/L4 as legit extra buttons or anything like that, too bad. Having said that, if you're in the market for a modern XInput controller, I have no idea why you would get anything else. The price is too low to ignore, and the quality is there.

Incredible controller, especially for the price.
This controller is a steal at its retail price, especially so if on sale. I bought this controller for ~$20 and it's fantastic for PC gaming. I've played tons of games with it, from retro games to reaction heavy games like Dark Souls and I love this controller. The sticks feel great, requiring just the right amount of force as well as the texture of the sticks fitting my thumbs perfectly. The buttons looks and feel great, requiring relatively low force to push down. I've never had an issue with response timing nor does it double press any buttons. The feel of the controller in my hand is great. I have relatively big hands and it feels great with no hand fatigue like some controllers have. The provided USB cable feels just as quality as the controller too. For the price, if you don't mind a wired controller over wireless, this controller is absolutely killer. I highly highly recommend it.

Very good value, cord, buttons, sticks, appearance. Great D-pad.
Feels very nice. I have not had it for long so I don't know how it performs long term but because of the price tag I honestly don't care if something goes wrong after a year or two of use. When that happens with my premium priced elite controller we have an issue. That is why I sought out something cheaper but still of good quality after my last controller broke down. I'm very happy with it. The buttons and sticks feel good. Its size is not quite as big as a standard Xbox controller, or at least the elite one but I personally like that. In terms of input latency, well it opened my eyes to the fact that the controller I had been using actually had issues with input latency, so its good in that department. The cord it comes with is good quality. The D-Pad. I consider the d-pad an important part of the controller. I play a fair bit of platformers and some 2d fighters (yes I prefer the d-pad to the sticks) so I like a nice D-Pad. This one is amazing actually. Far better than a standard Xbox or PlayStation controller, but not nearly as good as the elites circular d-pad (no one seems to have a fair priced controller with a similar d-pad). I bought another model from this company because i heard the dpad was good but its really not. This one is, so if you are concerned about that its a solid, clicky, and fairly accurate dpad. This model in particular also looks very nice. I haven't played wukong but I liked the way this one looked and it was on a slight sale I think.

nice little controller!
All my xbox controllers have died on me so i was in need of a new controller. I seen this posted in a server and decided to pick it up. i was suipriesd with the quality of it. it works great and feels nice. although i will say Ive accidentally pressed the star button on accident and activated the auto mode. i have no issues connecting it with steam and works with every game so far overall happy with this controller!

Unbelievable value and works great!!!
Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much from such an affordable piece of tech - the last controller I purchased in this price range about 8 years ago was complete trash - but this in many ways actually feels better than the XBOX series controller I’ve been sharing between my console and gaming system until now. Great build quality and hand feel. Plus I love the color options. I always prefer wired connections since they are more reliable and don’t have to bother with bluetooth pairing or battery swaps mid game. I play a lot of Diablo 2 Resurrected and that game doesn’t pause when your controller drops off for any reason! This works perfectly plug and play on my Bazzite Linux system in every game I’ve tried on Steam and Battle.net.

The obvious choice for a budget controller
The unbeatable gold standard for budget PC controllers. Build quality feels great, the L4/R4 configuration is my favorite of any layout so far, and the color selection is so much more appealing and tasteful than most gamepad selections. Buttons and triggers (including the d pad) are robust and responsive and the sticks are precise and long lasting. The included cables are super high quality and look great as well. At this price point there’s nothing that even comes close, you can spring for the Bluetooth version for a few bucks more and still nothing touches 8bitdo in terms of bang for your buck. I’ve had 2 of this controller line for Switch and 3 for PC, and all 5 of them are still in working order and still in my rotation for regular use for Switch and Steam Deck and desktop PC. I’ve given several people these or the Bluetooth version for Christmas or birthday gifts and I always hear about how much they love it.

Easily the Best/Highest Quality Gamepad for PC under $90, seriously
This is one of the best controllers I've ever been able to use. If price is a consideration, there is simply no fair comparison or viable alternative on the market. This controller trades blows with Razer's Wolverine V3 TE and Thrustmaster's HEART controllers and barely breaks a sweat while doing it and being 1/5 the price. This gamepad is more comfortable than the Razer Wolverine V3 and it has a better layout than the Thrustmaster HEART. The mechamembrane face buttons found on the Wolverine V3 are better than the face buttons on the Ultimate 2C. Full stop. Everything else though, I prefer the ultimate 2c. Including the shoulder button shape and placement, the extra shoulder buttons' shape size and placement, the shape and "pull" of the triggers, and the overall controller shape are all superior on the 8bitdo Ultimate 2c. For my hands at least. I really like the thrustmaster heart controller but it's missing those 2 extra shoulder buttons next to lb and rb. If Thrustmaster adds these extra shoulder buttons, it'll take the top spot for best PC controller but alas. The Heart has better face buttons, triggers, and a more comfortable shape than the Ultimate 2C. I would prefer the Thrustmaster heart but the absence of the 2 extra shoulder buttons has become a deal breaker since using the ultimate 2c and wolverine v3 TE The ultimate 2C has the best Dpad out of all three controllers. Its crazy to think that a well balanced membrane dpad actually feels better and is easier to use than either mechanical dpad found on these competing gamepads. The Ultimate 2C handles 1000hz polling better than razer. It's laughable. The ultimate 2C simply punches leagues above its weight class and outshines controllers 5 times its cost. Opt for the wireless version of this remote and you have something more fully features than either remote mentioned. There is no viable alternative to this gamepad outside of the Razer Wolverine V3. Thrustmaster must add the extra shoulder buttons but i hope that's all they update on the HEART controller. If you need a gamepad for PC, get this one.

Good controller, bad shape
Unless you hold your elbows together to play video games, this controller is pretty uncomfortable. Works well though and it's cheap. I'll keep it around as a spare but it did literally make my hand cramp up
